Found this "Gem" (pun intended) on a spur-of-the-moment road trip with the family this past Sunday to Kalama, WA. It was in fair condition, until a little clean up. Excellent working buttons and lift.

Looking for the year and other info on it.

The blades were purchased, because of never being seen or heard of before. Thought this was an excellent treat!

The PB is one of my favorites. Very mild but smooth. 100% comfortable no hassle shave with one.

Nice rescue from the wild. I believe those were being sold in the '50-'60s. You won't find a date though as they didn't track them like that. For blades just find some SS coated ones.

That sucks that i can't pin the date down on this beaut. I love to know all the history on my findings in the collection.

Question for you push button users:  Mine started popping open mid-shave the other day.  After it happened the second time, I made sure that everything was locked up tight, but it did it again.  Any ideas whether this means that the pushbutton locking mechanism on mine is shot, or something else?  TIA.

Yes, all that Waits says about them is that they were in the '50s. It was one of GEMs last designs.

Sorry, I can't help with the malfunctioning razor.
