Hi everyone,
I have a Weishi razor and as super mild as it is I have to admit I like a turn to open razor. Anyone have some favorite butterfly razors to suggest? Parker? Others?

While I can only speak about the ones I've used, here are a few though on some TTO's:

Cadet TTO-11 Twist To Open Open Comb - a lovely if aggressive shaver
Cadet TTO-13 Twist To Open - short handled and quite aggressive
Gillette 1958 TV Special Superspeed butterfly - a very, very nice razor indeed
Parker 22R butterfly - a good first razor, and a rather good one at that (although some shavers will disagree vocally on that)
Feather Popular - remarkable mild, but requires a fairly light touch

and last but certainly not least:

GEM Micromatic Clug Pruf - a TTO SE razor, and a nice shave once I worked out the angle

I've had my eye on the Parker 22R in gunmetal for a few weeks now. I'm wondering why they tend to lower quality inexpensive razors. I suppose they're just not popular at higher price points.

I suggest Gillette SuperSpeed. You can get this off Ebay, be patient, normally, $20-25 will get a very good "user quality" razor.

Out of the TTO razors my vote goes to a MicroMatic. The Open comb is aggressive. But since you're talking about DEs I will recommend the SS. If I had to go back to using DEs it would be the one I would return to. I used one exclusively for two years actually. I used other TTO DEs such as the Krona, Slim, and Red Tip and did not care for them.

Schick Krona. Relatively easy to find and provides a good shave. I'm not sure how it compares in aggressiveness to the Weishi.

I have:
Gillette Aristocrat -great razor
Gillette Slim and Fatboy, prefer the Fatboy to all my DE razors
Parker 99R - for the money, a fantastic razor.

If you can find an Aristocrat or Fatboy in good shape they are fantastic razors.

A vintage razor would be nice, Seems everyone loves them.

Does anyone have experience or an opinion on the Parker 92R Safety Razor

I have some gillettes TTO Super Speed, and I love everyone.

If you get some in good condition you will be very happy

Fat Boy - 1958 to 1961

Aristocrat.

Red Tip, more aggressive, but It is a great razor.

I just got a 1958 D3 Gillette Fatboy and love it. Bought it restored and it was replated in nickel.

That's crazy, i don't find the Gillette Redtip to be all that aggressive. Organically smooth though, and has moved up the charts in my rotation!

Gillette Slim is really nice. My absolute favorite is a rather expensive razor so it's impractical to even suggest it. I would start by trying a super speed as it would be the cheapest way to get a vintage TTO, then maybe try get a slim

Can't go wrong with a Super Speed. I like my Schick Krona too. I must admit that I have been recently gravitating toward my non-TTOs lately however. I haven't tried a Parker yet.

I have a Red Tip and a Black Handle Super Speed. The Red Tip is slightly more aggressive than the Super Speed but waaayyy less aggressive than a Slim or Fatboy dialed up.

I'm particularly fond of my Gillette Red Tip and short handle Super Adjustable razors. They comprise 2/3 of my core rotation. My Super Speed, a decent shaver, is much milder and is used for perhaps one shave a month. It may wind up on BST at some point.
