Whilst browsing the bay i noticed this razor, it's a twist to open PILS model. Does anyone have anymore information about this razor? Apparently it was one of the first models that were produced. Just to clarify i don't own the razor, the listing is still active on Ebay for anyone interested in the razor.

I've never seen this, but through prior research the current crop of Pils DE's used to be offered in more handle designs, like barber poles, hex and something else. I emailed them about it 2 years ago about it as I had then the product numbers and included it as well in the email but never received a reply. A real pity.. Little is know if not brought to light in the forum..Pils makes awesome razors in undisputed quality.

Can't wait to see what insane sum this will close at.

Maybe because it's gold and seems a tad cheesy compared to the current Pils, but it looks like a Knack head got stamped and stuck on a Pils handle.

Now, that is interesting! Not as lovely as the modern version, but interesting.

Very nice razor, It should probably be quite rare.

The Pils current box is other, and the logo is also different. Congrats !!!

It would be interesting to juxtapose the weight of the two razors. This one looks like it would weigh as much as a feather compared to the modern version which must be a replica of Thor's hammer!  Biggrin
