Just noticed the update in the Darkholler thread.
My two ebonies must be there somewhere!

I ordered the Blue Denim Falstaff to match the B&B LE fountain pen.

Pretty sure that the materials are quite alike.

And there's also a Cappuccino Falstaff  PK 47 on its way from the UK.

I couldn't be happier!

There's going to be quite a few very happy people from the looks of this batch!

The Modelo's empty, so maybe someone will receive an extra bonus brush Tongue

It's a Modelo Special thank you very much and it was delicious. The ebonite are on the left edge (middle) of the picture. Hard to remember what was there but I recall at least one each of the blue, red and sand, as well as two or three all blacks. Not sure which brush I want next but I'm considering an all black ebonite 24mm Falstaff fan (if Ken will make one).  Or maybe I'll hold out for a Fordite handle.   Smile

There was a wicked one amongst them, but just how wicked you get varies quite a bit. Ebonite is not unlike wood grain in that respect. The Wicked brush Ken posted pictures of is from the same ebonite batch as my brush.

They're both beautiful in their own way but, as you can see, the grain and contrast can be quite different.

The Ebonites arrived today.
Stunning brushes, with exemplary craftsmanship.
And great knots, well shaped and perfect sizes.

The blue is a warm, dark blue and has a perfect chubby type shape, very comfortable.

The ebonite is as I remember from the fountain pen, it has a certain warmth over it. Really nice, and I applaud Dark Holler for making these available.

The cappuccino is as beautiful. Elegant shape, good ergonomics and a well placed engraving.

Masterpieces, really. Classy and almost understated - which is spot on in my book.

Kudos for Ken and the Dark Holler team!

Those brushes are beautiful.  It's nice to see Ken/Cody be able to engrave them for that extra added touch of class.

Beautiful brushes and incredible craftsmanship from the images. Sure would like to add a sample to my arsenal as they become available. Great work in general from all the artisans at TSN- love seeing this level of support from the community for their workmanship.

The engraving truly adds a touch of sophistication to the overall brush, these pictures really amps up the anticipation for those waiting to get their brush!

For some reason I didn't anticipate the variation in the Wicked Ebonite material.. the one in the sample picture given to us was amazing coloration, hopefully its all very similar. But awesome product none the less.  Clap

As you can see in my and wimbouman's pictures, as well as the other ebonite pictures Ken posted, most of them will have a more blended pattern and less of the stark black contrast.  I think the Wicked brush is so striking to look at because it is so exceptional (and the effect is not diminished when you see it in person either).  I hope when people order one of the 2-tone ebonites that they realize that each piece is different and that the Wicked look is not standard.  Otherwise there might be a bit of disappointment rather than admiration and excitement for this beautiful material.  On that note, although the Wicked and all the other colors look great, I think there's something to be said about how nice the all black ebonite looks, especially with the contrast provided by the etching.

Those really turned out well.  I have an ebonite Paladin in my future, but have several brushes that I am already committed to that will push this purchase off for a few months.
