Mary Lou has taken a liking to ink bottles.

I posted HERE about her re-purposing perfume bottles as inkwells.

I followed that up with a post about her INK BOTTLE DISPLAY CASE

Over the Memorial Day weekend we were antiquing and she found this interesting little bottle. It appears to have a hand painted scene of a Japanese village. There are some Japanese characters and "2003" on it so it is not an antique. The bottle is frosted on the inside and a similar scene is painted on the back.

ML wanted to put blue ink in it(of course) but it hid the painting. She tried a multitude of inks and settled on DeArtamentis Green Apple.

I put it in the window for the picture but it resides in the ink case.

That's beautiful, Phil, but is it practical as an actual ink well?  Based on your photo, the opening looks too narrow.

You want practicality from a woman?? :-)
All kidding aside - we use syringes ninety percent of the time to refill cartridges.
Also ML has informed me that this is watered down ink so you can see the  painted design. Purely decorative :-)
What can I say?
