I was going to post a pic when I got it but I can't wait for it to get here to share with you all. As usual Lee was very prompt and courteous and helpful. Anyways, it's a style 3 size 1 in tortoise with a "Finest" knot. Since I first started in wet shaving I've been drawn to his designs/works before I ever knew they were his or who he was. He mirrors my tastes just as John here does, if I may say. But back to the brush, it ships Tuesday and I will post pics, both individually and as part of my first SOTD with it a.s.a.p.

As an aside, I decided to focus my brush acquisitions in the future, when money permits, to his work, both Rooney and M&F, and vintage American( EverReady, MadeRite, etc.)

I really like the style 3 size 1. I have a Rooney Finest in 3/1 and I'd have to say it's one of my favorite brushes, really comfortable to use.  The tortoise handle will look amazing, I've not seen a style 3 in tortoise before.  Congratulations!

Here is my ebony 3/3 in Finest. It's a bit of a tree, easily one of the tallest brushes in my collection, but it does perform excellently.

I really enjoy the style 3.. I'm not sure if this is a 2 or 3, in faux horn.  Can't wait to see your tortoise.

Thanks Celestino! Mr. Six, without calipers, looks to me like a size 2, 24mm, but looks can be deceiving. Regardless of size that is one fancy brush - looks excellent!

Congrats Ken! I'm part of the 3/3 club also, such great brushes.

Is Style 3 envy a clinical term? I have a 3/1 tortoise Rooney with recent 3-band hair, but I'd love an M&F 2-band version.

Haha rob sounds official enough to me. I was worried about the handle on the 3/3 when I first received but now I love it. Kens in for a treat.

Thanks Nick. I've referred to it as a 3/2 because I believe it to be around 24mm.  It was Lee's suggestion when I asked for a good bowl lathering brush. Of course it's great for face lathering. Definitely one of my favorite handles and knots.

It's most certainly a great combo. I use mine for face lathering exclusively, but I wouldn't hesitate to take it to the bowl when the time arrives.

Damn! All great brushes. My first badger brush was a 3/1 Rooney in pure. One of my top 5 handles, it's a five way tie amongst the Rooney/MF 1, the 3, the L7, Chief and Simpson's Emperor.

Big C, just from a proportional judgement I'd say it's a 2, an absolutely gorgeous 2.
