So I just got this in the mail today, and upon opening it, I did not think the scent was all that great. However I used it for today's shave and this may be the best smelling soap I own. The scent really changes once its lathered and water is thrown into the mix. Face feel is out of this world for me and it has a very slick and cushiony lather! A+ All the way around! Now I just need to get my hands on some Woody Lavender, but I have way to many soaps at the moment!

How do you guys rate the LASS Fougere? This stuff may have just hit my top 5. A few more shaves with it, and I will know for sure. The scent lingers on the skin in a fantastic, subtle way. I paired it with some Myrsol Limon AS, and I still have this beautiful scent close to my skin.

I would second your opinion on the scent. To me it is very similar to MdC Fougere, but the Topanga is a bit more bright to my nose. One of my favorite soaps and a top performer all around.

I thought the same thing jesse. It is very much like mdc but more complex. Definitely brighter to my nose as well.

it's my favorite fougere of all the ones i own, and one of the few veggie soap brands that i still keep.

It definitely is a fantastic scent. John hit a home run on that one.

It smells nothing like the mild earthy green MdC fougere to me. The LASS Topanga fougere a much stronger perfumey type scent. It actually reminds me more of the original MdC, though certainly different.

I sampled it and really enjoyed it. Great scent. I didn't find it too similar to MDC fougere.  I picked up a bit of a gourmand note, probably the vanilla.
I'm apprehensive on adding it to the den as I had a bit of a reaction to LASS Co.'s Woody Lavender, caused a slight burning sensation on the face.  The woody lavender had a great scent too.

Woody Lavender is definitely my next one from LASSCo. Hopefully does not give me the burning sensation you speak of.

I prefer Spring Street; it's in the same vein as TF, but is even brighter!

I just made a pretty awesome discovery. Lass Fougere and SMN Vetiver cologne are very alike (same to my nose). If you want a nice cologne to compliment your Lass Fougere, its SMN Vetiver.

Michael, I too experience a burning sensation with the lavender version. Is/was the burning experience exclusive to this scent? or Also with other from LASS?
Thanks,

I ended up passing on the LASSCO Fougere to a new home. I did lather it a couple of times to make sure, but it wasn't for me. I prefer darker, earthier scents most of the time and the majority of Fougere I've sampled I like. Performance was outstanding, but I found it too bright and sweet for my taste.

LASSC Fougere was one of the soaps I most regretted selling.

Just got a new one and can't wait to use again!  Performance is top notch and the scent is superb.

Thanks,

It was only with the Woody Lavender scent. I tried samples of Spring Street, Fougere, and Bespoke #1 with no problems.
