I received a shipment late this afternoon from La Savonniere du Moulin. SdM has been receiving rave reviews for their Donkey Milk shaving soap and Donkey Milk Aftershave Balms.

it is not the entire height of the box; puck size is 3cm(height)x 6cm (diameter) Box size is about 5,8x 6,... cm. There is some lovely natural material in there to keep it airy and from rattling around
It is a hard, high quality milled soap with clean scent... I love it. Need to use it more

Yes, in my haste earlier I forgot to thank Phil as well. I love the fact that he "curates" such great products on behalf of the community. Good for him and Bullgoose and certainly great for us in getting exposed to new things.

With all the hubub around Meissner Tremonia, perhaps that is next!  Biggrin

Best performing soap I own as well. The milk is fantastic too. I have enough soap to last a lifetime but I think I need to order some more of the a/s, my sample is almost out. (The little thimbleful I had lasted forever) I dropped one of my SdM pucks in an Old Spice mug and the other two I grated into a screw top plastic container. Either way works well!

Can we lather directly when the puck is inside this bowl ?
Or is it simply a mean to store the puck ?
Thanks!

The black bowl? Yes, you can load your brush from the puck when it is in the bowl. You would then either face lather directly or you would use a lather bowl.

Yes, I mean the black bowl since I am not sure if the wood will be stable upon continuous contact with water.
Anyway, thanks for bringing us these amazing products.

I'm pretty sure the black bowl is wood. But it's treated and waterproof. I wouldn't be concerned about it being in contact with water though. After all the USS Constitution has been a commissioned naval vessel since 1797 and it's made out of wood.

Grammar question:
Shouldn't it be Ass's Milk rather than Asses Milk?  Thoughts?

lait d'ânesse

asses is plural of ass

ass's implies possessive of a single ass

either way, it's all good Smile

So maybe asses' is more appropriate.
