If this has been asked/discussed before, please point me to the thread.....

Has anyone used high-end badgers such as the Romera Rustic Chubby Manchurian and the Semogue 2013 SE with soft soaps such as Jabonman and Krampert's? Do you face or bowl lather? I have only used boars with my soft soaps.

Please let me know your technique.  I want to open my options with the badgers.

Thanks for your advice.

Ed

I have a Romera Manchurian and have used both soaps that you have mentioned. I personally prefer to scoop an almond sized amount of the croap out of the tub and smear it on the bottom of a bowl to lather there. I have the Fine shaving bowl and have always had great results with this technique and croaps.

Ed, I have used the majority of the higher-end 2-Band badger brushes with a few soft soaps, such as Jabonman, Mystic Water, LPL, Catie's and I face-lather, exclusively, and I have never had any issues doing so. They'll work just as well as your boars and, possibly, feel much softer on the face! Unfortunately, they'll be much more expensive, though!  Biggrin
