Hello,

I currently use oil-based pomades when styling my hair and wanted to know if anyone knows of a shampoo that gets out the product with ease.

Cheers!

I suspect a Chagrin Valley shampoo bar, especially the citrusy ones deal with this effectively.
Worth a try, I am a happy customer.

There's a help on the site, but this is what I would suggest:

Groom and Clean works great and can be found in any men's section in stores. If you put it in and comb it through a half hour or so before you shower the grease will come out when you wash your hair. Another way to degrease is to put a water-based pomade or gel over the grease then next time you wash your hair it comes out no problem.
Hope this helps.

Exactly. Two suggestions:
1. DAX (who makes pomades) has a shampoo specifically made to remove the oil-based products:

2. Sally Beauty Supply (a large chain; I believe it is nationwide) has a clarifying shampoo that is excellent. It's in a clear bottle.

Thank you! I'll keep an eye out for that type of shampoo.

Have a nice day!

I grease my hair everyday. The best product i have ever used is this Aussie 3 Minute Moist Deep Conditioner. Its available in all stores. Work it into your hair and let it sit as instructed. Majority or even all the grease will be removed after washing it.
