I received the best father's day gift ever today. Razor? Nope?soap? Nope.

My daughter and wife came home today and my daughter (18 months) brought me an envelope. It had daddy written on it in kid handwriting and my heart melted. Opened it up and the wife had helped my little girl draw a picture and do a little bit of writing on the picture. My son is 10 now so I kind of forgot how it feels to get something from the kids when they are really young. I try to be a "tough" guy and rarely shoW emotion but that look she gave me and smile when she gave me that envelope melted my heart and brought tears to my eyes. I'm blessed I really am 2 great kids and a great wife. Just thought I'd share this you guys as I never thought a card could mean so much to me..I'll post pics later.

That's lovely!

My children (6, 4 ,6 months) always make me a father's day card (well, the oldest two), and they put in so much effort, its so sweet. I have a stash of them all somewhere. It won't last for ever, but its so lovely to see they care so much!

What a great gift it will be when you share the card with her again in 18-20 years... Happy Father's day!
