I use a black plastic salsa bowl that looks like a kettle.I use it for lather making.I have a brass bowl that i fill with hot water and set my razor in while doing my preshave prep.
Nothing fancy.
The wife wanted a big house so I have to press into use dual purpose or found objects ( the P.O. of the house left the brass bowl and some other items when he moved).lol.

I used one of these for years. Bought it at Wal Mart for next to nothing. I still travel with it.
Since I like boar brushes so much, my youngest son gave me this pig salsa bowl for my birthday last year. I pull it out when he is home or the grandkids are over.
Either works well for making lather.

My first lather bowl was one like this (red):

Then I got one of these:

Wanting something a bit more posh for travelling, I got one of these from Turkey:

And just a week and a half ago I got the fairy tale bowl in the mail, also from Turkey:

Hmm... do I have a minor case of BowlAD?

That's a cool bowl. Like that one a lot.
(I'm not sure why, but every time I see the thread title on the main Forum page for a split-second I think it says "My Bowels".)

It's a nice bowl, and good for lather building. Props to Obie who brought my attention to it, props to bestshave.net for selling them cheap as... well, something very cheap
