Im fairly new to the Nook 17 days old. I have my post requirements, and now just putting in my time so I can be more involved in all the aspects of the B/S/T. I'm sure there's good reason for this policy (I can think of a few reasons why they have it), but this wait is taking what feels like years. I think I'm looking forward to this more so than my birthday or Christmas!!!

I think its just a security thing to keep people from just joining to buy sell and trade and possibly rip someone off. These are good people here it will be worth the wait. On the bright side you just can't post anything yourself you can still buy and AFAIK you can respond to WTT threads started by someone else ,I wouldbread the rules to be sure

Otis375 said it best.  I have discovered that here on the Nook BST are great people to deal with.  I have done a few deals on another forum, the gentlemen that are also here and there were great, the ones on the other forum only I was disappointed.  Your patience will be well rewarded.

I too have been awaiting my chance to use the BST. I've purchased a handful of items, but I'd like to be able to post my own here someday. My problem is not time though, but post count. I've never been very good at racking up posts. I'm a member on probably 100 various forums for my hobbies and my work. I think on one forum that I've been a member of for roughly 8 years, I'm just barely above 1,000 posts, all the others are well under 200 posts each and similar time spent on each forum. I find I spend more time taking in knowledge rather than spreading my opinion. Often I don't feel qualified enough to engage, and don't want to subject people to my ramblings that may end up being false or just regurgitated information. I think I've been here on TSN for probably around a year or so and I'm just a few posts away!

well said gents.
People are nice here and 30 day restriction prevents people from trying to just join and rip off people with good intentions.
I have purchased lots of items over the last 5~6 weeks and they were all smooth transactions.
Also traded with a couple of people and they all went well as well.

Due, mainly, to the postage implications and expenses I don't suppose I'll use the BST here as much as I have in the, more local, one.  But can someone remind me what the criteria is please.

To be honest, this is not on my priority list or the reason why I joined.  But I can understand how some people feel about it Wink

I'm glad they have a waiting period, members should be able to contribute before given the keys to the Frat House Smile

A lot of times,  members set really good prices even with the postage included,  so you dont need to worry about not finding a deal,  instead worry about buying too much! Sometimes it gets out of control.  I am a good example.

Yeah know how you feel. I've been a member for a while and haven't met my post count minimum for B/S/T forum. And I have some things to sell. Hopefully this will get me one post closer.
