Just read where the Ikon shavecraft tech is supposedly more aggressive than the 2011 r41. Upon reading that I could not but it fast enough. Question is does anybody have one of these razors? I'm very interested in blade gap and exposure but I can't find any pics. Any info or expierence with this razor is appreciated.

55 for just the head, 70 for it on an ikon handle, and yep some reports are saying more aggressive than 13 r41 some say more than the 2011. Actually nearly all ive read say its more aggressive than the 13 r41, some say more than the 2011

How about the OC model? (Shavecraft Short Comb) Any reports on the aggressiveness of that guy?

I just know the shavecraft tech is the most aggressive model ikon has ever made. There is a thread on here where the owner ranks the razors by aggressiveness

Short comb is listed on his site as "medium aggressive" whereas the Tech says "aggressive masterpiece." I tend to prefer SB razors anyway.

Certainly piques my interest...

Owner puts the razor you mentioned at a 3.5 and the tech as a 4.

I'll be honest; I saw "Shavecraft Tech" and just assumed it was mild-mannered like its Gillette namesake. I need another razor like a hole in the head, but I loves me an aggressive razor. I might just need to liquidate some assets...

Me too, the name and even the look are misleading. Where I got mine has 47 left the head is 55 by itself or 70 with a handle. I don't need it either but after passing up on the razorock baby smooths and stealth slants then regretting it. I figure if I hate it I'll flip it. IMHO the price is fair for an aluminum head and stainless handle. Oh did I mention folks are saying its 2011 r41 aggressive lol...

Never had a 2011, but I would say the Tech is similar to the 2013 R41, but gives a more comfortable shave. I was never able to get a comfortable shave out of the R41, but got an aggressive, yet comfortable shave out of the Tech on the first use. As always YMMV.

Sounds like a winner any chance you could post pics of blade gap and exposure if its not too much trouble.

Top view is a bit blurry, but should give an idea of blade exposure.

Oh yeah! As far as blade gap goes it looks similar to the toro mastiff, I'll haft to pull mine out and make sure but the tech looks to have more exposure. Thanks for the pics. I shaved last night so by the time the razor gets here I'll have nearly a full beard to test it on lol. The description is somewhat of a challenge saying can you handle the razor?? I say bring it.

Question, Did the tech have any blade chatter?? I find it looks similar to the toro mastiff, which fornmeni get some blade flex and chatter because of the gap and exposure, I would assume the tolerances at ikon would probably be a whole better?

Interesting - the way the safety bar is pulled away from the curve of the top cap, it almost looks like this operates on a similar principle as the no-guard DE that some people have been experimenting with.

Here's a toro mastiff for comparison, that is water on the razor not dirt. I think they'll be very similar
