I've looked at the TWSBI's multiple times now, but have not pulled the trigger on one.

I have several Lamy's, Pelikan's, and Franklin Christoph's at this point, which seem to be either below (Lamy) or above (the other two) from a quality standpoint.

What will the ECO offer over the existing models?

I believe it's main advantage will be price, relative to other TWSBIs.  ECO is short for ECONOMY and that was its original selling point.

Ah, I wondered what the ECO represented.  I didn't know if it was something special like the company name.

$28.99 is a good entry point to try them out I guess!

This pen has been in the works so long that I didn't think it would ever make it to market.  I'm planning on getting one. Smile

I have been using a MontBlanc for the last 20 years, that baby is sweetly broken, but I will like to retire it as a vintage piece.  This looks like a great everyday pen.

Did anyone pick up an Eco yet that can comment on it?  Looks like a good deal for a $30 piston filler.

I know Freddy has a couple on the way and I will be ordering one for my wife. I still enjoy my Vac700s and use one almost daily.

Don't worry, Freddie, we already have you picked out as a prospective fountain pen collector candidate. Winky

Kyle, as Brian has pointed out, I have two on order through the Goulet Pen Company and according to the tracking information, they are in transit.  As soon as I get my hands on them I shall try to post photos and thoughts.

I can't lie. I do like a nice pen! My tastes have always been more of the Montblanc and hand crafted Steampunk style fountain pens. These are from Montblanc and Penopoly/Penscapes. Saddly a little out of my price range. I know one company makes them out of Titanium and other metals but can remember who.
