Hi all,

I have set my mind on a Shavecraft 102 slant head only. I tried several online webshops worldwide. But it seems to be sold out everywhere. Did they stop producing them or what?

I believe it's just out of stock and not discontinued. You may try a want to buy listing here on the forum.

Thank you for the advise. I am new to this forum and I don't have the rights to post a want to buy (assuming I've understood the rules correctly).

You are correct Tilly1648. My apologies for not checking your status.
It may not hurt to email iKon directly.

Towards the end of July 2015 ShaveCraft Model #102 Slant's should be available directly from us or via our authorized iKon dealer network, it's a popular model and hard to keep stocked.

This is great news.  I really like my #102 and I'd love to pick up a spare.

Dear iKon,

July's end is within sight. So....................when can we expect the 102?

Cheers,

Tilly

I was waiting for them to be restocked but just found one on BST here and pulled the trigger!  So looking forward to trying this razor.  First slant and first Ikon for me.

Just got it and had my first shave.  It's a great razor.

I was hoping that I would benefit from the Slant's reduced cutting resistance in some key problem areas for me: my lower/sides of my neck, and my upper lip.  It definitely helps.  I was able to go ATG on areas/angles that would normally produce redness/irritation with a normal razor.  I the past, it's been difficult for me to go ATG on my neck and get BBS/DFS without at least superficial temporary redness.  Not this time.  I imagine the shave will only get better as I get the feel for the razor, but even the first go was very good.

BTW, this was shaving 24 hours after I had already done a full 3 pass (ATG) shave, something I have found hard to do in the past.

Congratulations.  This is one of my favorite Slants, own two of them, and they are excellent shavers.

Which handle did you use?

The new Ikon Bulldog (II) 85 mm.  Nice and hefty.  Seems pretty well balanced.  I have the Wolfman WRH1 handle, which is heavier still and will try that, but I think the bulldog is a keeper.

Thanks Hector!  I'd love to know how you find the 102 in comparison to the RRSS.  Lots of different opinions on this one...
