Very nice collection of synthetics.  All quality brushes you have there.  I'm on the current Wolf Whiskers waiting list and will be having him put a Plisson synthetic into one of his handles.

Nice brushes. Have you ever tried a whipped dog? I'm curious as to how his brushes compare and the 30mm has caught my eye.

I did have a 24mm whipped dog at standard loft, which I think is 55mm. I bought it in March and PIF'd it. It was a nice brush, but at the time preferred the Plisson and Muhle. The WW in my picture is supposedly the same knot as the WD, although mine is set at 54mm. It doesn't feel the same to me. It's easier to splay the WW and it feels a tad softer and maybe a little denser than my WD. Value wise, the WD is great, but there are a lot of nice cheap synthetics available now.

I'd be interested in hearing about the Vie-Long and Ubersoft fibres.

I'ven been thinking about purchasing the 30mm too but only because he is out of the 24mm. Please share your thoughts on it if you buy one. It is a heck of a deal for sure.

Those are all very nice AirTimid. That WW handle is beautiful. Which of the 4 is your favorite? I face lather mostly and want to find a good synthetic to use. I ordered a Plisson last night so that will be my first to try.

Ironically, all the brushes are new to me except the Muhle. They were all bought at different times, but due to shipping times to Canada and vacation, I received them all at the same time from the post office this week. I've only had one shave each with the new brushes. The Vie Long is the most dense and the hardest to splay. It will be the one that requires the biggest learning curve. The Romera seems to be a Plisson with lower loft. Very soft with more backbone than the standard Plisson. The Wolf Whisker was the big surprise. It felt dense and luxurious with enough backbone. It was a pleasure to use. I was under the impression this knot was supposed to be the same knot as the WD I PIF'd, but it certainly doesn't feel like it or I would have kept it. It could also be the handle, which is awesome. Actually, all the handles are great. I'll update after more shaves.

Judging from appearance alone I would choose the WW. That is one of the nicest looking handles I have ever seen, and the knot looks nice as well.

Great brushes, I am a fan of synthetics, my favourite has to be PLISSON but the Wolf Whiskers Ubersoft knot is great too.

From what I've read this Ubersoft synthetic knot has some extra oomph to it that the Plisson lacks. I'll have to try one someday after my badger hunt is complete.

Nice collection, i really like that Wolf Whisker synthetic  Thumbsup . I find the Plisson synthetic, for a lack of a better word 'floppy' compared to the Muhle fibers (which is my favourite synthetic at the moment) How does the Ubersoft fiber compare to the Muhle and Plisson in terms of 'backbone' Is it springy like the Plisson?
