Have a question for those of you that have this soap. Does it smell the same or similar to their Mango aftershave balm. I have the Balm and it's probably my favorite scent of any soap or aftershave I have bought. If the cream smells the same then it's going on my 'Must Have' list. Thanx for any input you can give. Yes, and one of the best scents of any shaving product, IMO. However, the cream is not a cream, but a hard soap.

Hey thanks for the input. I've always been kinda confused on this soap as I've heard it's hard but on the package it's called a cream. Sure is too bad that they don't have a matching aftershave splash!

The puck is not very hard though, you can press it to fit most any bowl or container.  Wonderful lather and I found it to be extremely slick and great with straights.

Really? The puck I got was hard as a rock. It looked a bit tried dried out but it came in the air-tight refill package.

Also, the scent was absolutely the worst soap I have ever smelled.

Vadim,

it is peppery and smelled a little like fermented stuff from an Italian cellar. However it may smell, with an impressive, novelty first impression it should do not too bad when wet and shaving. Is it a different tast thing or was yours spoilt, I mean  gone bad?

It's most likely an issue with taste. It has a smokey and spicey scent, two characteristics which I dislike. I never got around to trying it. The smell was that offensive to me. There's no way I could have enjoyed opening the soap and lathering with it.

I don't think mine was spoiled. As I said, it was hard as a rock, so there's not enough moisture for it to really go bad. It was also the newer style packaging, so I assume it was manufactured recently.

Vadim,

sincerely, there is IMO with any scent that is meant to stimulate the likely adverse effect.

Kind regards! Philipp

I didn't care for the scent at first.  But when the puck got wet it started to be less spicy/peppery/burnt and became sweeter and more well rounded.

Not my FAVORATE scent, but not horrible anymore... as much as it grew on me, it didn't grow on me as much as say XPEC did... (I really like XPEC now).
