Do you have a favourite soap for a rainy day?  It's a grey, miserable, rainy day here.  As I sipped my morning coffee and looked out the window, I knew I needed something special for my shave.  Soapy Bathman Cigar Lounge was my choice.  The blend of bergamot, lemon and spiced tobacco did the trick.  What would you use?

California is in an extended drought. Were I to wake up to a full on; Hebrides Suite, Noah's Ark, gullywasher
it would be MWF hands down for skin protection.

Chiseled Face Summer Storm or Catie's Bubbles Un Jour Gris. Both have an extremely accurate petrichor character to them - smells like your backyard after a thunderstorm.

Summer storm FTW.

The 'dirt' smell is actually quite nice.

Mitchell 's Wool Fat and D.R. Harris Marlborough would be my preferred choices for a rainy day. Occasionally use Catie's Bubbles Irish Coffee for the rainy mornings but since it rains all the time in the UK this is obviously subject to change since I have to get through a lot of soaps Biggrin

Haha funny you ask that question, I usually shave the night before however tomorrow I will be shaving in the morning and the weather isn't great here. I think I have come to the conclusion that Reef Point Espresso is going to be my soap choice. Might even enjoy it with a sweet black coffee. Smile

XPEC.. Very warm complex scent, I actually think of a rainy day English cigar filled gentlemans club room when I smell it.... I'm sure some, maybe a lot disagree but that's what my nose tells my brain

In a stormy, bad weather day: Lea hard soap. It lathers very comforting and thick and is easy to use. Some herbal ingredients but takes on a little Speick or other cream for scent.

Any enjoyment of shaving is good, really, on a rainy day

I never thought about what I would use on a rainy day but it would probably be Roam if I had to choose.

Usually, for 8 months, it rains quite a bit, here, (this year being an anomaly) in Vancouver and I don't really change the scents I use. I just rotate the 10-12 I have from Mystic Water.  Smile

I don't change soaps on a daily basis, so the weather wouldn't impact the soap I use. But I will say that the whole act of shaving would itself be an uplifting activity on a rainy day.

Probably any Mike's, BM or Strop Shoppe [tallow] will do the job.  Maybe I should move to Seattle.

As with Celestino, nearly every day can be a rainy day in the Pacific Northwest. We should be asked about our sunny day soap, instead.  Cool
