10 to 1 this guy sells violins on the side. They're often as overpriced as this brush!

"Up for purchase is a custom made Rooney shaving brush using their Finest badger hair. It was special made for a notable collector, and has been very gently used.
The specifications of the brush are
Approximately 32mm knot diameter
Approximately 57mm loft
Approximately 60mm tall handle
The handle resin has a bit of a wavy pattern to it, imitating horn or the like. Being a custom made brush in a size much larger than their normal production brushes, there is no box."

Ben74????
Are you kidding!

You've seen the prices I've sold my Finest for... You could get at least 2 or 3 of mine for that price!
And I've posted all my Finest on this site previously and clearly that brush was NOT among them.
Besides, last time I checked I was residing in the southern hemisphere...

I believe I've seen the brush before (or at least a very similar one) so its possible I may know who the owner is or was, but I'm not about to toss names about and embarrass anyone needlessly...
IMO that is certainly a lot to be asking for the brush and not what I'd be prepared to pay (or ask) for it myself. It will be interesting to see if it sells.

I guess it's known that I collect brushes...
It's obviously not known that I consider myself to be sensible, realistic and fair...
I would NOT describe the pricing of that brush with any of those words (sensible, realistic or fair).
That said, sellers have a right to name a price and buyers have the right not to buy...

Heck you should just buy Semogue in that case
Or just hire them to make a limited edition w/ a handle that looks like a bottle of blue Floid, complete with stopper and actual aftershave.
