Shown below are some of my newer custom EJ pieces.
The first features a handle made of Bloody Basin Jasper. Please note that the name refers to the mine where the stone originated and not a particular shaving style.

Pictured below are a couple of sets of brushes and razors with matched handles made from the same block of wood. All my wood pieces are finished with multiple coats of a marine sealant originally designed for use on sailboat decks that yields a beautiful, clear finish and a remarkable grip when wet.
This 22mm Silvertip brush and Markur 34C have handles made of West Indian Satinwood. The depth of the grain in this wood is amazing and both pieces show a beautiful curly grain figure.

This set shows a Merkur 38C with a handle matching the 24mm Bloodwood brush shown in my previous post.

As always, thanks for looking.

Thank you all for your kind comments.
Below are a few of my "skin" razors. Each is a piece of real skin that has been encased in a crystal-clear acrylic making it completely waterproof and perfect for a razor handle.
This Merkur 38C has a handle made of Cobra skin.
![[Image: R1347.jpg]](http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w207/auctiondesigntools/EliteRazor/Razors/R1347.jpg)
The skin on this razor handle is from a Python.
![[Image: R1341.jpg]](http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w207/auctiondesigntools/EliteRazor/Razors/R1341.jpg)
This 24mm Silvertip brush has a handle made of Cocobolo wood with a Mother of Pearl "collar".

Is that a Lucite or acrylic that is colored like mother of pearl? Just in the interest of accuracy...
The handle material is the result of a unique process that begins with genuine Mother of Pearl, pulverizes it and then adds approximately 5% resin. This provides a material that is 95% genuine Mother of Pearl, yet is workable on a lathe and can be available in the size required for a brush such as this.

I have been fortunate enough to come across a piece of beautifully figured Olive wood that I could cut into different presentations to show off the pattern of the grain.
The Merkur 38C below has the grain running along the length of the handle.
![[Image: R1356.jpg]](http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w207/auctiondesigntools/EliteRazor/Razors/R1356.jpg)
The handle on this 38C was cut from the same block of wood as the razor above, but is cross-cut so the grain wraps around the handle.
![[Image: R1357.jpg]](http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w207/auctiondesigntools/EliteRazor/Razors/R1357.jpg)
This 24mm brush has the grain oriented vertically and really shows off the variation in the pattern.
![[Image: 9659.jpg]](http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w207/auctiondesigntools/EliteRazor/ShavingBrush/9659.jpg)
Once it dries a bit more, I have a cross-cut piece that I will be using to build a brush handle and I will be sure a post pictures when it is completed.
As always, thanks for looking and if any of these pieces might be of interest to you, please let me know.
