I just found out that Neil Miller passed away on July 8th.

He was a great asset to the straight razor shaving community and made some of the best strops out there.

He will be missed.

I'm totally shocked by the news having spoken with Neil over the past few months I really thought he was over the worst of his illness but obviously not, Neil had an incredible brain and thirst for history and knowledge and he played second second fiddle to no one when it came to straight razors, Neil you where a witty and charming Man and you will be sadly missed

Sad, and quote from his interview he did with Obie at SRP:

"It is hard not to get all “Sinatra” over this, but yes, I have been very happy with my lot. I have been very lucky to have a wonderful wife, a loving family and to have had so many opportunities. I know that full well. Of course, there are very many things I would have liked to have done, but, to be frank, one lifetime isn't nearly long enough."

SHOCKING!!!  Neil was completely brilliant . Few voices were as authoritative in the straight razor world. This is really hard to believe.
