Found a few of these mailers... Has anyone tried them or know anything about them? Im curious to try one so perhaps just need some coaxing! The hollow ground de blade seems like a gimmick... I do really like the period art though.[Image: UcTMqcs.jpg][Image: g9INXOZ.jpg]

Most definitely. If i do try them i would be trying it in a hoffritz slant (which has been my daily driver aso of late) which would stiffen up the flexible blade??? Lol. Maybe ill try a couple and use the r89 head as well.

I have hundreds of them and I can't really tell that they are hollow ground when I shave with them.  I think it was a gimmick.  That being said, they are nice shaving blades if you are used to the feel of vintage carbon steel.  They may be rust resistant but they do not have the smoothness of coated stainless blades.

I think they were trying to carry forward terminology from the SR days to pull new shavers into the DE world. I think the term "hollow ground" is self explanatory in the SR world but near impossible to apply to a DE blade, especially considering the technology in mass production in the timeframe they were made.
