I was just looking at a humble means of travel after winning the lottery or mugging a drug lord. Some of the candidates have those liquor cabinets veneered in burlwood with cut crystal whisky decanters and tumblers. I caught myself thinking 'I could have it reconfigured for shaving with Brad Sears and Limoge'[Image: sqw9B4T.jpg]

Kav,  we're you rolling down the street, smoking endo, and sipping on gin and juice?

I like the looks of 70s American barges but they're ungodly slow and drive like $@%*. I would not feel comfortable driving one on the highway around corners So I would have to say for a" vintage" car I'd get a w126 Mercedes.

No, I was told in no uncertain terms food, liquid or any combustables were  forbidden inside the gypsy. We were almost to Point Dume when the Ventura club met us. This homeboy from Oxnard said 'Hey Vato! who's the Anglo'? My host replied hey you dumb POCHO, he is a San Patricio. don't go dissing my amigo.  This was done  at a safe and sane 35 MHP as various beautiful people flung themselves at eternity in 911s and
Ferrari Dinos, all newly arrived from the east coast giving us foreigners disparaging looks behind designer sunglasses and noses running from some designer drug. This thread sort of  meandered like a Greatfull Dead Jam session and I will leave it with this

I tell you what, Kav.  I'll take the Rolls Biggrin   Seriously though.  A couple months ago, the Mrs. & I  parked next to a magnificently restored early 1930 RR at a rest stop on I-78 near Hershey, PA.  I couldn't stop drooling....

On second thought, I could make room for the whisky decanters.  Probably a LITTLE closer to my budget....

My unrequited love is a Morgan Plus 4.  Unfortunately, Morgans can't be imported to Canada at this time so I'd have to find one that's already here, which would make it at least 20 years old.

Morgans have always been the nes plus extra of those 50s-60s elbows out, rack and pinion, break the rear end steering, scare the porshe driver into an oversteer spin out british roadsters. My neighbor had a 'baby blue' flat radiator Morgan. These were factory team racers and thought lost. He refused to sell it to me. I had a MGA twin cam coupe. But he couldn't get it to run and offered me TWO cars free if I could 'sort it out'.
I climbed in-PUSHED THE STARTER BUTTON and it turned over. I pushed a Jowet Jupiter home, walked back and reluctantly pushed a Hilman Manx next.  Phil Hill bought the
Jupiter and I sold the Manx for $50. Today those sky blue Manx HARRY POTTER flying cars are a gold mine if a fan sees one.

I had no idea based on the title that this thread would be about sweet old rides. Thanks for the pics!

Sometimes threads meander and you have a different tapestry. I started out again imagining my personal ultimate wheels; a prewar Royce Royce with glass privacy glass between the backseat and driver one day. They all have wood veneered liquor cabinets with a couple bottles and glasses. I was looking at this one and began imagining a complete shave kit in there. And there we went.
