From the Wild -- NOS Pinaud Lilas de France Lilac Vegetal Shaving Cream --- anyone ever seen one of these?

NOS from a General Store liquidation --- store had been boarded up since turn of the century. The family just decides to sell the entire contents to an auction house.

Pretty cool if you ask me!

I never knew such a thing existed! I have also never gotten around to trying the aftershave. Any scent left on this?

You must shave with this cream post-haste and then report your findings.  Sherlock

It was completely dried out -- I Tried, the scent was faintly there --- the guy that purchased the contents of the general store said the trustee said that all items in the building dated before 1918 --- not sure if that is true, but I have never seen a tube or empty package of this stuff and I have never seen the shaving soap in wooden bowl that is mentioned on the side of the box --- who knew? Smile

the greatest epiphany in my degree ( archaeology) is we know less about the world of our own grandparents than what happened millennia before.

Wow.  Never heard of this stuff.   Also a lilac vegetal shaving soap?  And a brushless cream?

Very interesting find.

It was so old that the metal tub was like powder and broke in half -- the cream was like cement. Sad
