Anyone suffers from this condition? I've had this problem for a long, long time. I just my haircut today and my barber told me I've got an inflamed bump on my head. I had him cut my hair down to number 0, so I could go home and see for myself what was going on. I'm not able to see anything with my portable mirror, but I can feel a bump alright.

Would medicated shampoo work for this problem or should I go and see a doctor? What would be my best option here?

I use Sea Breeze or Thayer's Witch Hazel Medicated on my scalp. They both have camphor. Sea Breeze also has clove oil and eucaluptus oil. I also use some antibiotic cream on the bumps.

Yes...I get this from time to time. In my case, it is from allergies and is actually hives. Try using hydro-cortisone cream and taking an antihistamine and see if that helps.

Use a dandruff shampoo such as head and shoulders or selsum blue and see if that helps or as bullgoose said try an antihistamine such as zyrtec

I learned that some shampoo can cause pimples and acne, we should be careful on what shampoo we should use.

I used to have these on the base of my neck where my hairline is, but they went away over time. They are called Sebhorhrea, I believe. I used this shampoo, and I haven't really had a problem since.
