So after reading so many good things about Mystic Waters soaps I decided it was time to pull the trigger. I ended up emailing and chatting with Michelle, who was AMAZING, and got an order placed. So I ended up getting 7 different samples to try out.
  • Almond
  • Cuppa Joe
  • Irish Traveler
  • Lime
  • Orange Vanilla
  • Vanilla Sandlewood
  • Windjammer
I'm not sure which one I'm looking forward to more ... as a second pick that is. Almond is one of my ALL time favorite smells so its of coarse the one I want the most, but after that I'm just not sure..... SOOO I figured I would take a poll and see from the 6 remaining which I should try after the Almond.

Feel free to comment if you have tried them all or if you just have a favorite from the list.

Thanks,
Wrathen

Of the ones you listed, I have tried Irish Traveller, Orange Vanilla and Windjammer. I'd pick Irish Traveller from those 3.

I am a recent "convert" to MW [you two know who you are Wink] and my assortment is limited to two full size pucks right now.

Jasmine and Orange Vanilla. Both are excellent but only OV is in your sample pool.

It gets my vote and I very nearly used it this morning but slated it for tomorrow.

It has a very rich scent, tending to the sweet but the vanilla is perfectly balanced by the citrus. It really is similar to a perfectly seasoned meal IMHO.

As always YMMV but look forward to your thoughts on all of your selections! Vanilla Sandalwood is calling my name.

I think if Mr. C said he likes Brillo & Wisk we'd shave with it...

That is how much he has earned my trust, indeed!

Now for Mystic waters,  the scents need to be personnally experienced. One recommendation I would make is Bay Rum

I would never do that, gentlemen, and you have yourselves to thank for trying this wonderful soap, not I. Biggrin

Of the scents you have listed, that would really be up to you. Vanilla Sandalwood is a lovely sweet scent; Irish Traveller is a bright, vibrant scent and these two are my preference of the ones you have listed, but I like Bay Rum, Poggio dei Pini, Marrakesh, Sandalwood Rose, Brown Windsor and Sardinian Honey, much better.
Also, Michelle's Almond is a bit different than most I have tried, in my opinion, as there seems to be a sweet, fruitiness to it as opposed the the typical bitter-almond smell of many others.

Good luck.

Of your remaining six, Wrathen, I'd go Lime, followed very closely by the Irish Traveller. Personally, I'm not a great fan of vanilla.

No one has thrown their hat in Cuppa Joe's corner for some reason, but I love that one.  It smells like a nice flavored coffee and is never a disappointment when I choose it.

The Lime is just fantastic.  Best lime scent of all the ones I've tried.  That would be my choice, as well.

Ok that's it I'm revisiting Mystic waters after my jar of Santa Maria Del Fiore is gone. I believe I'll start with frankincense and myrrh, and Irish traveler.

I, for one find MW Lime the most realistic Lime scent out there. Blows Castle Forbes out of the water.

I believe Michelle is thinking of working on a Fougere, but hasn't attempted Vetiver, yet, sadly. I would also, very much, welcome both from her!  Shy
