Ok, I'm at the end of SAD period and my medicine cabinet is almost full.  So far my fave soaps are:

Santa Maria Novella
Valobra (hard puck)
B&M
CRSW
Mike's
Razorock XXX

Going to Europe in Sept. so will get MDC and ABC.

What other cant-live-without soap is missing from my cabinet?  Haslinger Shafmilch?  Caties?  Saponificio Varesino?  L'Occitane Cade?   What say ye?

Thanks in advance!

Alex

Primo, thanks!   That looks interesting.  Never heard of it!  And appears very inexpensive if you get it over there...

Justin, you're right, probably a rookie move on my part.   Tongue OTOH I just learned about a soap (from Primo) I've never heard of before so there you go...

Slippery slope...lol. Check out primos Cavendish MWF, pretty cool read and expirement.

Also on the subject of soap for me the slickest soaps are mickey Lee soapworks. Check out maggards if you haven't already they sell a lot of soaps in samples. I picked up strop shoppes, barrister and Mann, mickey lee, they have a lot more than that and it's pretty cheap.

Thanks Justin, I like MLS as well.  Unfortunately for me the first soap I bought was Kraken, which I loved, but it irritated my skin.  Maybe I'll go the sample route from Maggard's.  I've bought from them before and they're great!

Bufflehead.  It's tied with B&M as my top artisans.

Czech & Speake No. 88 in Anodized Container. That is some unapologetic, flagrantly luxurious stuff right there

Well, I am sure most everyone else will know what my suggestion will be Biggrin................but if you like B&M, Cold River and Mike's, and if you haven't tried it, yet, then Mystic Water.
Haslinger's and Jabonman are fine soaps, also, that you may want to try.

You have or will have a lot of the top-flight stuff already. I'd recommend Art of Shaving's sandalwood in tallow (discontinued, check Ebay) - it's made by Valobra and has the truest, best sandalwood scent I've smelled to date.

Haslinger, Catie's Bubbles, Mickey Lee, Bufflehead, and Strop Shoppe all make very high-quality products too. Can't go wrong with any of those.

Nashville representing. I was able to meet Justin (maker of Bufflehead) when I swung by his building to pick up some soap. Great guy with a great soap. I can't wait to add some more when he restocks.
