As much as I don't care for replates to make them look original (nickel etc), I am drawn to yours where they bring a new and fresh look to them.

The other nice thing, as the owner of some truly beautiful, but bad replates... Is this process will not change the geometry of the shave.  A good replate shop will manage to replate without thickening everything much... But when it doesn't work out that way.  The resulting shave can be horrible because the angles and contact points are all wrong.

What is the average turn-around time on getting razor re-worked?

Approximately a week from when I receive it.  If I get to where I consistently am hitting a week and a half, I'll bump to two.  Doing this is definitely teaching me to plan more and be more efficient. Smile

I keep meaning to reply to this thread but distracted with "work".

Beautiful stuff and happy that you are expanding your presence here at TSN.

I am continually drawn back to your site and have a sneaky feeling that I won't be able to resist one of your News much longer...

Just a couple of questions that I will take offline but really appreciate your work! Fantastic stuff!

Thank you - the razors on the web site look great.  Look forward to doing business.

Lovely unique work for certain.

I haven't gotten around to doing one yet, but I have a couple of GEMs that I will do when I have free time. I don't see any reason why not.  I'm actually curious to see how they look, I think some of them actually have some really nice spots for accent that should dress them up.  Were there particular razors you were thinking of?

I believe that I have a brass OCMM and possibly a Clog Pruf that I would consider. I don't use them much these days though and I don't think that I can bring myself to modify my Mongoose. Perhaps if I pick up an aluminum Mongoose whenever they are released, then that could be my one to experiment on.

I'm very fond of mine. So much so that I have 2 other Gillette's, Old and New, that I will probably send in for a treatment.

Welcome! I have seen your work on another forum so, I was already excited! I'm glad you made your way here since the Nook is full of the best people (and I would think - the best customers)! Great looking work and I plan on both purchasing an existing razor and sending a few in soon!

My bronze and nickel prewar Gillette Fat Handle Tech just arrived from Jay, and I'm very pleased!

Packaging
Neat job on the packaging to make the unveiling something fun.

Razor looks better than my poor cellphone photos can show.

I have also come here from that other forum specifically for Delta Echo Razor Works.   I have two of their awesome razors so far.  I cant imagine too much time will pass before I get another one.   The are fabulous shavers.

Left:  Steampunk Late 40's Tech.   I chose Late 40's because I already have a few Pre-war Techs.  I must say this Late 40's shaves better than all of them.

Right:  New LC.   Fantastic shaving razor!  I have a couple of News, but this one shaves great due to the slickness of the coating. The look and feel of the razor contribute greatly to the overall shaving experience as well.
