Any one have any experience with the Crown King Switchback 400?  Seems like it's based off the old Rubberset 400 but now in 'die cast'  which according to the product page lends a sense of weight on the brush.

Price seems reasonable and something worth risking if the brush is of good quality.

Brought to you by the people behind PAA.  Since the price was not CRAZY I figure I'd give it a shot.

Anyone have any experience?

Any reviews of this brush setup? Seems like an interesting idea, but what do the users think?

Fit and finishing was subpar. Both knots fell out and had to be replaced. Customer service was excellent and the knots replaced quickly.

It's a chrome plated affair which is standard at this price I imagine.

For a similar price point I'd recommend chiseled face's Alumonics Shaving Brush and install a knot of your choice

Or try scouting for a Rubberset 400-4 and restore it yourself with your own knot of choice.

I have one.

Never used the two knots it came with.

Got the extra tops and set badger knots in them.

Not the highest quality, but not the lowest either.

I got it with a razor on eBay a few years ago.

It's a Dovo stainless steel stand.

I looked it up once, and probably wouldn't have bought it what it goes for brand new if I had to pay retail for it.

I think it was after Christmas though. Probably an unappreciated gift. I lucked out!!

It is great though.

The new colors they come in look pretty nice black or red at PAA. And without a knot you can put any one in.  Cool
