Over the weekend I visited Rudy vey house to make a custom stand . There I found cute little beehive brush with a perfect grip and cuteness . I couldn't resist and asked rudy to make me shavemac silver tip 2 band beehive brush. Next day brush was ready and mailed.

Rudy is fun to talk to and a true gentleman. Always enjoyed time in his workshop and catch up with the gossip of "wet shaving " industry.

The brush look big in the picture but it's really cute handle . Rudy has some good materials in stock like jade, disco, purple haze , cobalt but I decided to go with this gold version as I already have other color in Simpsons.

Note : Please share your Rudy vey brushes and stand in this thread

Brush knot : 26mm
Loft : 51mm

That brush/stand combo is a beauty and also thanks for sharing the "behind the scenes" shots.

Thanks for sharing. I love seeing pics of guys turning brushes, stands or making knots.

And I learned two more things about Rudy today....He knows how to pull off the "socks with loafers look" and enjoys "Dubble Bubble". Oh how I'd love to visit a shop and watch them make a brush for me, right before my eyes.

Those stands are awesome by the way. And that little Beehive will surely be a great face lathering brush

All evidence has been buried. All tapes have been erased.

This is my second round with shavemac silver tip 2 band and I liked it a lot. Soft tips and enough backbone for a good face lathering brush. This particular knot I liked a lot .

Thanks Mustafa. Nice to see Rudy at work and looking good! His friendship with Bernd at Shavemac and those great handles he turns are a winning combination. I think those Shavemac 2-bands are wonderful. Perfect backbone and soft tips. I reach for them as much as the Rooney Heritage brushes these days.

no accompanying stand for this one (though i'm thinking of it, now...), but this is my rudy vey turned brush. modeled on a polo 12 in his disco haze stock, capped off with a 28mm shavemac 2 band silvertip knot. i call it the yolo 12, lol.

Nothing like getting and watching your very own brush being freshly turned by Rudy Vey, he's great gent to work with on any project.

Great great share Mustafa! The shavemac 2band silver tip is a fantastic knot, great performance and construction.

Great looking brushes guys,Rudy is a true artist. This is one he made for me last year.Had him make an over sized Chuby with a 32mm WSP high mountain white. This is a true gem in it's butterscotch color &  one of my favorite rotation brushes......Ernie

Normally, I wear some Birkenstocks in the shop....this Saturday I happen to have on an old pair of loafers, really old ones, three times re-crafted, and I could not decide to toss them out, so they went to the shop....Always wear socks in the shop - too much shavings etc that can get into your shoes and making this without socks on your bare feet a bit uncomfy - guess how I know....
