LA SAVONNIERE DU MOULIN DONKEY MILK SHAVING SOAP is great. I've been using it exclusively for almost a month now.

Agree, something ridiculously expensive and possibly not even good...which I would then flip on B/S/T to buy multiple cheap soaps I do like!

I would go cheaper and get two or maybe three! But in the interest of this thread.....Cold River Soap Works is my suggestion.

I would probably go with a Barrister and Mann or CRSW tub. Middle of the road in terms of cost but unmatched in performance IMHO.

Only one tub?  Couldn't you ask for a few tubs of different artisan soaps?
If not, then I would go with one of the more expensive soaps or creams such as C&S Annodized Aluminum dish, Aqua di Parma, Alvarez Gomez, Antica Barbieria Colla, or Boellis Panama
1924 Coffret just to see what they are like.
Good luck.
