In Dec., 2013, I sent an email to order a UFO handle and about that time they quit taking orders. I never heard  anything more until a couple of hours ago when I received an email that they had some handles available. Quite a surprise. Doesn't look like they are taking new orders, just catching up from those orders from long ago. So I have a Kaiser 85mm bulldog coming. Not even sure what head I will use it with but I imagine I will come up with something. So if anyone here had placed an order you might just be in line for one.

That popping sound you just heard was the UFO web server exploding. :-D

Congratulations.  These UFO handles are truly beautiful - heirloom pieces.

I have 2 of the common sense UFO handles and I didn't need to wait except for them to get to me. I guess everyone wanted custom humongous handles so I had no competition.

The first one was a prototype and my description of what I was looking for and what they had matched to a "t". The second one matched my description exactly and they had it "on the shelf".

Both are SS, and nice pieces of the machinists art. Both are currently on Muhle R41 heads; one the '11 and the other a '13.

I don't really know what's coming to you, but it will be a piece made with pride. Enjoy it! The ones I have made my R41s far more useable for me.

Wow! I emailed Juan looking for extra SS razors to no avail. However, I was able to order a Titan Fine L @ 85mm for my Mongoose.  Aaaaa I love the Shave Nook.

Having the honor of owning a Colibri and a Kaiser short I'll say that Rafael's work is nothing short of amazing. There is a post for some pretty hardcore unobtainium for trade in the BST which is worth significantly more in a monetary value, but I cannot see letting these well loved, well made, works of art go. To those that have been patient best wishes!

I'm hoping that a kaiser short fine eventually comes to existence. You may want to ask if that is possible (since based on what I'm seeing machine wise it *should* be).

Rafael makes an amazing work of art in his handles. That's awesome that one of his creations will be making its way to you. You'll love it!

Posting some old photos of mine! I really think that there is something behind these handles that makes them special.

Ok, so I'm going to put you on the spot, what makes these handles so special, other than they don't make them anymore.

They are very nice, but I have seen and own nicer ones IMO.

This is a fun question more than anything else. :-)

You are a lucky man! I have the same handle and it's absolutely fantastic. For the mongoose, imo, no handles works better than the TiTan Fine L! It's perfection. Truly a piece of art. Enjoy

I use my Titan Fine L with an EJ89 and it is a joy to use.
