Thanks gents.

Ravi, I was thinking the same thing.  It doesn't have soap smell or any traces of soap in the handle, it does smell like good old badger Smile

Looks like it was sealed in a time capsule- great find! Interesting that the etching under this sticker is intact and almost as if someone added the sticker after. So cool to see and thanks for sharing that piece of history.

That's what really got me intrigued about it.  I could see the engraving under the sticker, but I really don't know what to make of it.  I'm not messing with it Smile

Thanks Jesse and Claus. Smile

The packaging is very nice, the inside is very luxurious.  I guess back then owning a brush like this took some pounds.

Didn't the old Simpsons have an engraving "Simpson" underneath the sticker.  So once the sticker wore off it still said "Simpson".  That was my understanding.

More importantly  Love great brush Hector!!!!!

This brush is certainly part of the Chief's heritage, as Ken will attest.

It does have the Simpson engraved under the sticker.  Your understanding makes a lot of sense.  I have dig deep in the Internet, but can't find anything other than other sites with similar show and tell threads.

I may send Mark a few shots and see what he can come up with.

Thanks for the kind words.

Congratulations Hector! That's an awesome win, the box by itself gives off a pretty good 'wow' factor.. then factor in that lovely love brush.. Ok back to the discussion of using it or not...  I can see it not being used, its a real masterpiece  Thumbup great great score with this one here!

It almost looks like a 2 band as the darker area of the hair cover a good part of the loft.
