This is the second in a series of posts about razors that you don't really hear about on the forums.

Here's the first one:

1) Gladweg De Luxe

The second one I took up is a Henso. A simple search on the internet showed that the razor was made by J. A. Henckels - a very famous straight razor maker. It is also borne out by the fact that the Henckels 'Twin' trademark is seen on this razor. I've seen one other Henso and it was exactly the same razor as shown here, but in a different case.

The razor came in a nice brown case, with two blade holders.

The razor has a tooth-comb safety bar, similar to a modern R41. It is a spindle type razor, like the old Gillette Single-Ring and other razors.

The razor weighs slightly more than a Single Ring, I think, but I can't be sure. It feels solid, without being heavy.

The blade is held on the tooth-comb itself. This gives rise to a shave that is nice and smooth, and not terribly aggressive - similar to a Gillette Old Type. In fact, the razor this most reminds me of is the Eclipse Red Ring.

The shaves form this razor have all been a pleasure. Nice and easy, without being remarkable --- just a good razor.

Wow it looks great, almost industrial with the bottom bar along the teeth seems like something you would find in a hospital or a prison for some reason, but i like that

Another awesome looking razor. Can we get a top-down view of the baseplate? I'm curious a bout how long the teeth are. Beautiful razor though, very interested in knowing how this one shaves.

Here you go - the teeth aren't long at all, but since the blade sits on them directly, they're as long as they need to be.

As you can see from the last two pics, there's pretty much no blade gap.

I've already used this razor several times, and I have to say that it's a really efficient shaver. It reminds me of the Old Type, but also a little of the New Improved.....maybe a cross between the two, or a slightly more aggressive Old Type. The shaves have all been easy and close.

Wow, another fantastic, less seen razor Yohann. It certainly is reminiscent of the Eclipse. I like it!!!

Yep, this razor is really cool. It also is a pretty good shaver.

However.................the next razor from the group is amazing (going off one shave). Man! I was surprised at how great the shave was.

More details coming up when I've used it a bit.
