I was given some Taylors of Old Bond Street Shaving Cream and me and the girls love the smell. Is this aroma indicative of most Sandlewood products including aftershave cologne? If so, any recommendations that are more affordable that Taylors of Old bond Street?

Sandalwood and affordable don't go together. (True Sandalwood, that is)

Well, yes. But it's not what true sandalwood smells like. Sandalwood soliflore scents are usually pretty drowned out by flowers. Pretty similar to TOBS, and everyone else does the same thing for the most part. Except us artisans who try to keep it smelling like actual wood.

For example, I use Meehan Sandalwood. Fantastic product. $64.00 at Bullgoose. This is PURE sandalwood. Then there is D.R. Harris. $40.00, but it's a blend. I like it, use it, but when I want real Sandlewood, I reach for the Meehan's.
