Dave and Mike thank you for the interview. It's always good to have some background about the products and especially the person behind the product. Mike, you have a true gift for making quality soaps. I hope your graduate studies go well and that you continue to enjoy making soap as much as we enjoy using them.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and thank you Dave!
Mark,
It's one of the first things that popped into my mind. My family used to vacation in Maine every summer on Rangeley Lake, which is full of loons. I used to enjoy watching them and listening to that plaintive cry of theirs. Then, last summer, I was backpacking in Yellowstone right on Shoshone Lake and a few loons swam very close to where we had set up camp and started making some very bizzarre, possibly aggressive noises in our direction, so they were fresh in my mind when I was thinking about logos.

Why the loon as your logo?

Great interview Dave, nice to have the chance to learn more about the man behind a fine shaving soap that's worked well for me and friends I've recommended it to.I've used the Barbershop with great success and a friend's going to PIF a section of his new bar of Orange/Cedarwood/Pepper to me as a thanks for letting him know about Mike's.
