In a lot of reviews, fine american blend seems to be many people's favorite.
Not saying that barshop scent should be favorite scent for only old(er) people, but are there anyone who's in 20', 30's like the scent?

What about your swmbo in her 20's? and 30's?
I am in my 30's now, but I have never loved barbershop scent. I like fresh scents like vetiver, orange, lime, etc, but not barbershop.

Just trying to see if there are younger people who appreciates american blend scent.
I think it reminds me of old spice a little too much, even though it's slightly better than OS.

I just turned 38 in July and have been wet shaving a good 2 1/2 years now. It was one of my first splashes and I still enjoy it. It's a nice scent and I get compliments on it. My wife likes it but prefers me to wear scents like the Platinum.

Forgot platinum.  Its slightly too perfumey to wear everyday,  but they are very nice.  I have the high menthol batch and i think its a little less perfumey than the regular batches.

And my absolute favorite so far is l'orangr noir. Havent found anything else i like better yet.

I turn 39 this month and I use Fine American. My favorite barbershop scent is Strop Shoppe's barbershop shaving soap, which I pair with the Fine American. However, I can't wear a barbershop scent every day, only about once or twice a week is enough for me.

I agree somewhat on the Platinum. I use once a week to once every other. My favorite is Italian Citrus which I still have just under half left. I've tried them all before the formula change and the ones with higher menthol. I prefered the lower menthol due to it changing the scents.

I love the smell of L'Orange Noir but it does not love me! It's the only AS I have found that did not agree with my body chemistry. On me it smelled like rotted oranges and BO. Is a shame!

Just turned 36 and I love American Blend. My wife doesn't, she liked L'Orange Noir. I traded the L'Orange for Cat O 9 Tails though....

32 here. Love American blend. I don't consider it a barbershop scent tho. It's a take on YSL Rive Gauche.

so there are younger people who also like it, so it must be personal preference and my sniffer just isn't digging this type of scent.
I swear, I tried to love it, I couldn't, so I dumped what was in the sample bottle and rinsed it out so I can use the bottle for l'orange when traveling.
Too bad that american bland scent was pretty stout, my l'orange in it has a hint of american blend Wink

37 and like barbershop scents in general.  It reminds of being a little kid and going to the barbershop with my dad back when barbershop was a barbershop.  It brings me back to a simpler time when everyone I loved was still alive.
To be honest I never really thought of whether the ladies like it. Been married for a couple of years now and never had any problems in the female department before that so....

34 here. I thought AB was a little too much  for me. My wife will put up with Clubman, bay rums but flat out vetoed AB. She told me I was taking this smelling like an older man too far. She prefers the modern citrus fresh scents.

I guess its always a YMMV when it comes to scents.

I'm 43, and I liked American Blend for awhile before deciding to PIF it because it was too strong a scent for me. My Fine aftershave of choice is Snakebite.

32 here and love it. It's a dead ringer for YSL Rive Gauche IMO, which is one on my most complimented scents by the younger women.
