There was a question about my HIS bowl in another thread. Here are some better pics. The House for Men was purveyor of mens grooming products in the 40s and 50s. i have no information about their demise.

The bowl is bakelight with a screw-top lid. I quite like it. I must. I have three!

I have that bowl myself, the maroon one, but there's nothing screw top about it. The top jus sits on.

I just found out that this HIS bowl was made as an exact replica of one that they made in solid gold that sold for $1875.00 back then (scroll down )
