I just received my M7 Manchurian in Ivory from Mark over at Simpsons and I must say it was well worth the wait.  I received one three weeks prior that had a black mark on it.  Simpson being a great company that they are sent me another one to replace the marked one which I later found out was from their printer stamp.  A great company to deal with all around.  This will be my 3rd Simpson brush as I have the M6 and the Chubby 2 both in Manchurian.  I love them, will probably end up selling the M6 as I dont see it getting much use with this m7 in play.  Will add pictures soon.  Anybody have tips on how I should break in this brush?  This is my first new Simpson as I bought the others used off of BST.  Thanks all!

+1 They are usually mandatory. Biggrin   Just start using it and it should break in just fine after a few shaves. Enjoy the brush!

Just use it! I have never gotten a really smelly brush from Simpson.  I just give them one test lather and then start using them, no need for anything else.

As with any new Simpson just use the amazing brush and it'll be fine. Nothing like getting a fresh new Simpson from Mark.

Congratulations on the ivory M7.... Now only if there were pictures Tongue

Congratulations! Just load it and use it! I have found that it takes as little as 2-3 shaves or as many as 30 ish to completely break in a Simpson Manchurian.... it all depends on the batch, it is a natural hair after all. Every brush I have has been worth the effort. I am also looking forward to pics, a group shot would be nice to.

Congratulations, M7 is a wonderful brush, especially for face lathering.  I have to agree that with the statement above, it's a wonderful brush from the first use but after about 30 shaves the tips are even softer.
