Received my Varlet Orion in the mail today. Same out standing fit and finish as the Mega I purchased some time ago. The handle is a nice shape that feels good in the hand. Not sure what I would compare it to. The knot is a fan which is almost a flat top. So far I have just done some palm lathers to defunk the brush. A couple of hairs lost but nothing unusual for a quality brush. I will look forward to using it in my upcoming shaves. The specs for my brush are:

Knot: 25mm
Loft: 46.5mm
Handle: 56mm
Mass: 70.2gm

Here are some pictures.

Very nice Rob.  That certainly is a truly unique handle design, at a time when most handles are a variation of an existing design.  We'll look forward to your thoughts after you've used the brush.
