I just received this Swamp Kauri Tulip 3 brush from Rudy Vey. It has a Shavemac D01 25mm knot set with a loft of 56mm. The Kauri wood, which I think is beautiful, was in a forest that was buried up to 50,000 years ago in what is now New Zealand's North Island. Buried under a peat swamp at the end of the last Ice Age, the trees were sealed in a chemically balanced environment that preserved the timber in perfect condition. The trees grew for nearly 2000 years before being buried. Rudy did his usual great job on the brush.
