This is an antique gold Hamilton pocket watch which my grandfather took with him to Russia in 1905 when he helped to build the trans-Siberian railway.  It is lever set and has a triple sunk dial.  On the back is some beautiful engraving of a bird and a flowering leafy branch.  The watch is in excellent condition, with just minor scratches from use, and when wound it keeps time well.  The diameter is 54mm without the stem, and it is about 12mm thick.  I don't believe the crystal is original, but I am not sure.  Wooden display stand included.  I would like to see someone here enjoy it rather than selling it on eBay.  $125 shipped CONUS. Sold

I was asked to post an image of the watch with its bevel removed; I presume that meant the crystal.  So here is one.  As you can see, the whole inner workings are supposed to pivot up on the hinge at the top; however, this seems to require pulling out on the stem.  I tried gently to do that, but it wouldn't move easily, and I don't want to force it.  In answer to another question, I believe it was last cleaned and service about 10 years ago, and since then it has just sat on its stand or in a dresser drawer.

Great looking timepiece - you said it is lever set, does that work, i.e., can the watch be set via the lever?

Yes, the lever pulls out, and the time is set easily.
The watch has sold.  Thanks to TSN and to the buyer.
