New arrival: Shavemac 2-band Silvertip 28 mm Blue Marble handle 386 bulb.
Loft is 54 mm and the bulb is pointy, just as I ordered.

FYI
The white M&F is a 24 mm Blonde Badger (Handle size slightly larger than the Simpson Duke 3) and the brown-beige is a Shavemac 2-Band Silvertip 27 mm fan shape:

Very nice brush.

I believe you've mentioned you are frequent buyer at shavemac so get special treatment but, is the pointy bulb a ++ customization any of us mortals can get at the "experts select"? (maybe in "comments").

I would consider a bulb/fan hybrid for face-lathering.

If there was a hair that could pull me away from all my boars and synthetics, it would be trying the new Shavemac 2 Band Silvertip.

You got it !

I just add what I would like in the comments.

Not everything is possible of course, but it never hurts to add a comment regarding your preferences  Wink

Very nice, Claus. My two favorite Shavemac offerings -- 2 band silvertip and that beautiful blue marble. Enjoy it in good health.

I haven't used either of my new 2-Band Silvertips from Shavemac yet, but I have my new travel brush and a former 2-Band Silvertip which now is sold - and both these performs VERY VERY well.

If you want me to place them on a cale compared to the other two great 2-bands, Simpson and Thäter - here is how I would place the Shavemac 2-Band Silvertip.

Softness of tips:
Thäter is the softest I have ever tried. I don't know what they do, but it's so soft that it's hard to explain. Not Plisson Synthetic soft, soft in another badger way like. But just so soft and so nice feeling.
Both Simpson and Shavemac is second here -I would rank them equal in softness of tips. Perhaps my new Shavemac in Bornw-Beige in fan shape 26 mm knot will be a tad softer, have yet to use it for the first time.

Backbone:
Shavemac is number one here in front of Simpson, again by a small margin. Both have ample amounts of solid feel, but neither comes even close, not even clsoe, to being rough, scrubby or hard. They just have that solid feel. If someone told me Simpson and Shavemac source their badger 2-band hair from the same place, I wouldn't be surprised.

Overall feel and shaving experience:
I will rank all 3 brands equally here. The Thäter is the softest badger I have ever tested and owned. Yet in bulb 2-band it does not feel remotely close to floppy. Just a luxurious experience.
German Georg loves his Thäters, as well as RobinK - and I understand their appreciation for Thäter.

Simpson 2-Band Silvertip and Shavemac 2-Band Silvertip reminds me so much of each other - they share a terrific solid backbone, still a soft feel in the tips and you still get the facial massage from them.
Both are also absolute top class badager hair types for the avid face lather shaver. If I should pinpoint a differnce bwteen the Simpson and Shavemac 2-Band Silvertip, I would say the Shavemac feels slightly more solid in feel - we're talking minute differences here.

Great looking brushes!  I'm sold on the Shavemac silver tip 2 bands.

I have one (24x52 bulb) and 2 more on the way (26x52 fan and 30x54 bulb).  I will likely get a 28 to complete the range.

I saw the 2-band silvertip knot I liked in a photo, but wasn't sure of its specs. I sent the photo to Bernd and he identified it immediately. Turns out to have been exactly what I was after, and he duplicated it in what looks like hair for hair. Biggrin This knot will be something special, I can already tell.

Six days from Germany to my front door, with a weekend thrown into the middle of that. It's now in for a custom handle. I couldn't be happier with the process so far.
