For the past year and a half, my daily razor 7 days/week has been the 2013 R41 on an Ikon Bulldog II handle. Daily BBS, never a cut, and rarely a nick or weeper, though a little irritating to me. So I'm looking for something at least as aggressive, but not as harsh.

For those of you with experience, as over-the-top aggressive as it is, do you think the Shavecraft Tech is an option as a daily razor? If not, do you have other suggestions?

I have not tried the Tech, but I can/would recommend the Fatip, or the ATT H2 if you are willing to spend the coin.  I have found both to be smoother than the R41.

I find the tech smoother, but a little more aggressive than the R41. I sold my R41. Still wouldn't use either every day.

I have a Fatip Piccolo, and it is smoother than the R41, but not as efficient for me. Thank you for the H2 suggestion.

I find the Ikon Tech as or even a tiny bit more aggressive, but much smoother than the R41.  The Joris and Fatip might, also, be candidates to your question, but they are less aggressive than the Tech.
Good luck.

I would use my tech everyday. Love it. In using a R41 shimmed 4 times and got a ATT h1 on the way.

I could happily use my Joris everyday. I find the Joris provides me with a more comfortable shave compared to the FaTip and iKon Tech. I find them all to be of a relatively similar aggressiveness (or effectiveness).

You might like to try and source the more aggressive 2011 version of the R41...

Maybe I'm too much of a newb, but I couldn't use my Tech as a daily driver. In my opinion, its more aggressive than my R41.

It's a slow, careful process with the Tech. I hope to master it at some point, but for now I only use it on the weekends when I can really focus.

It has nothing to do with you being new to this. I, too, could never use the Ikon Tech as a daily driver because of its aggressiveness even being at this for four years ,now.
As long as you are enjoying your shaves is what counts; no matter what you use.  Shy

I agree with Celestino 100%.  Tech = smoother and a bit more aggressive than R41, but not a daily driver, unless you are Grizzly Adams.  Joris is more in line with a daily driver.

For those youngsters unfamiliar with Grizz, here is a photo..

I could use my tech daily if I had to . To me the tech is nowhere as smooth as the r41 and the techs blade also chatters pretty easily with me. I do get a good shave with the tech don't get me wrong it's just I always bleed when I use the tech too. Also even with feather blades everytime I shave with the tech I feel pulling and tugging in certain spots. Don't get me wrong it's not something that's unbearable. It's just the r41 is a lot more comfortable to me.

As far as daily drivers go I don't have one, I wish I did. I have a lot of razors and just when I get in a groove with one razor I get the urge to try another.

Lately I've been using the r41, tech, mongoose. Back on topic though the tech can be used to shave everyday ,I've done it. What I wouldn't do is do a 3 pass shave daily with it. For me and I have thick coarse stubble but the tech gets me where I need to be in 2 passes.

Our daily drivers should be called YMMV! No one shaver will ever suit everyone! Biggrin

Is the H1 as aggressive as ikon tech or 2013 R41. If find the tech a little more aggressive but others might feel different.
