I often have the want to own multiple sets of a single product because of how much I enjoy it. So far, I only own a back-up Old Type because it's the first ever razor that made me fall in love with it in the first shave.

Domenico Caraceni. Still have two tubs. Best shaving cream ever made, now sadly defunct. And Washington Tremlett mp/h, three bottles, my favourite perfume, now also defunct. Apart from that, all my products are still readily available, although I keep a keen eye on the SE blade market.

Osmium Facial Cleanser.
Softest best feeling less drying facial cleanser I have ever tried.

In fear of it being discontinued I always keep 2 full backup tubes of it.

Btw I no longer stock up on shaving creams, even the ones I love. With more than 200+ creams & soaps in my den, I already have some creams showing signs of cracking and drying out, so buying backups would be absurd.
Same with fragrances. Own in excess of 450 full bottles, backups would be absurd.

I have a backup bottle of Captain's Choice Cat-0-nine tails, and when I open it I will purchase another. I also have backups on Tabac shaving stick, a box of Arko shave sticks, and for hardware, I have two R41 heads, and two Shavecraft 101 shaving heads. One of these Shavecrafts stays in my travel bag ready to go!

I also have a backup for my favorite brush: Omega 11047 "mixed midget" with the mix of boar and badger. I have a wish list on Amazon called DNROO (do NOT run out of) and I try to stay one jump ahead -- I hate running out of an essential commodity.

Just one - an Irisch Moos stick. And I'm starting to wonder if I will even get to this backup before my last day.

My only backup hardware item is my daily driver razor, which is a pre-war Tech.

I do have some backup Shulton Old Spice, which I got from my late father-in-law.  I could see myself stockpiling more of that stuff if I found it out in the wild.

I have been trying to get rid of doubles, specially razors.  Brushes and soaps I only have one of each.  I don't really stock on items for fear of them going bad.

Hector,
I think you meant to say that you have one of each color, size, brand, manufacturer, hair type... Wink

I have 3 vintage Techs and 2 Red Tips, plus 4 B&M unscented, 1 backup for my MWF and 1 backup tub of P-Red. And I'm just shy of 1,000 blades.

I have redundant vintage Gillettes mainly as they are a finite resource and when I have seen a minty version pick it up. I have a number of EJ, Muhle and Merkur heads/razors that are the same.

Software, I keep an extra puck of MWF, iColoniali, Valobra and Napa Soap Co. [my wife grew up in the area] as well as a couple tubes of Proraso and Omega Cream too.

I keep all my stuff @ Bullgoose. I try to rotate some off Phil's shelves when my job as a U.S. currency recovery specialist sees a nice return.
