Yesterday, I bought the Rossa. I tried it today and decided to make a video.

Hope you like it! Smile

It is an amazing soap... Blu and Rossa have the most wordeful scents I have smelled for a long time. They are unique.

About the performance, it is right there in the top.

And yes, it loaded in seconds with around 40 swirls. I think this is the ideal number after several shaves with the Nuavias.

Yesterday, I used again the Nuavia Rossa. To my nose, the scent is definitely stronger than Blu's and I find it to be more elegant. I noticed that the texture is softer than Blu's, but not too much.
Do you have the same experience?

I'll preface my remark with the caveat that my nose is none too good.
However, when I took part in a recent Nuàvia passaround, the Blu's scent was much more distinct to me.
I didn't go to 40 swirls. I believe the makers recommend 20, but I found that even fewer worked.

Great face feel. One doesn't even need an aftershave.

What brush did you use?

This is the one soap I really want to try and purchase but just can't justify the price for shipping.

Balj, there is an option of free shipping for oders from 100 euros.

Also, If you want to try it, I recommend you to buy it this month, because from November they raise their prices, as they announced on their facebook page, for unknown reasons...

Thanks for the video Nick. I have been looking at buying this for a while now.

Which out the two scents do you prefer? Also, nice scuttle!

Small to very small: Semogue 620, Berkeley 46, Vie-Long Pony.

Thank you for the scuttle! It is truly a piece of art.

Both scents are unique and strong. I like them very much.
It depends. For this time of the year, I prefer the Rossa, which is a more autumn, winter scent to me. Blu's scent is floral, I will use it more in the spring.

Thanks!

In my opinion, yes. Only for the scents, the post- shave feel and the beautiful ceramic bowls. If they raise their prices too much, in this case, I would say no.

But, if someone is not willing to pay this money for these expensive soaps, he can buy some other top notch soaps that are less expensive, like my favourite Le Pere Lucien Traditionnel. The scent of this soap is mild but the performance is outstanding...

I just looked this up and it was $61 .... correct?  Sorry, but that just seems excessive to me... I know some will disagree, but come on... for soap?  I know... I'm cheap  Smile

It is priced accordingly. Not only are you buying soap, but it is a porcelain jar/lid as well.

This is one of the best soaps I have ever used period. Presentation is superb and if you buy two / one of each, shipping is free and very quick.
Well worth the price of admission for me.

It's too expensive now. When I bought both, the price was 40e for each soap. It was a fair price, in my opinion. Of course, it's a great performing soap but there are too many of them available in the market, that are less expensive. Some examples are Le Pere Lucien soaps and Savon de Volcans. There was too much hype about this soap  that was well deserved. I'm not surprised that only a few members are still discussing about Nuavia. The main reason that this is happening is the large increase of the price. No one was expecting that, a foolish decision someone could say. A lot more gentlemen were able to buy them with the previous price. What percentage of fellow shavers can give 61$ for a 200g soap, before the shipping cost? Only a few I guess. Nuavia soaps pricing is addressing to this elite.

I don't think they're porcelain made. The soaps would be a lot more expensive. They look to be made of good grade ceramic.

It's certainly a fantastic soap. Presentation whether porcelain or ceramic is certainly not cheap and very unique... Looks very nice!
I have to agree with nikos the price increase is foolish and an awful business decision. I bought at ther old price but I highly doubt I would buy at the new price unless he offers the pucks only for a cheaper price and it has to be reasonable.
For me I consider PC an artisan, and so should be priced accordingly and shouldn't be more expensive than excellent commercial soaps like MDC, XPEC, or ABC for example. Just my opinion.
Regardless of the price, it's a fantastic soap and for me it's on par with the above mentioned soaps and SMN
