Country Club has introduced a new tallow line of soaps. I ordered the Cahaba Blues to try: “notes of citrus, woods, and tobacco”. Today was my third shave with it, using a different brush each day. I face lather. Loading each brush for 20 seconds produced enough thick, slick, very cushioning lather for 3+ passes. This is an excellent soap. The new tallow soap will replace the original CC soap in my rotation. It would be nice if he matched some of these with his aftershaves too?!?

Ingredients:  Stearic Acid, Coconut Oil, Water, Tallow, Potassium Hydroxide, Glycerin, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance, Castor Oil, Good People Brown Ale Beer

Note: The Cahaba Blues does not contain Lanolin. The other tallow soaps do.

I like it! It is not overpowering, but you know it is there. Good masculine scent.

To my nose, the scent is almost identical to CRSW's "Bergamot and Bay" and also WSP's "Tobacco".  Although it's very faint - I wound up selling mine because I like it stronger.  The performance was great though - CC soaps are good.

This seems to be their value tallow line. The ones in the black jars include lanolin, kokum and shea butters, and allantoin. I've never been one to just chase ingredients, but probably worth noting.

Every soap Kevin produces is top notch.  His non-tallow soaps are great, too.  Honestly the best non-tallow soaps I've ever tried.  They compete with the best tallow soaps such as B&M and CRSW, in my opinion.

I don't know how this company continues to fly under the radar.  It baffles me.

Thanks for sharing, finally a new artisan soap that doesn't include lanolin, in the one scent (take what we can get).

Edit- I just looked at their website and it looks like lanolin has been removed from all their soaps, including tallow ones.

I got a great shave as expected with the Southern Oud. It is one of my favorite scents too.

Out of curiosity, what does "oud" smell like?  What is it?

Thanks in advance.

"THE MAIN COMPONENTS OF THIS FRAGRANCE ARE CITRUS, WOODS, AND SPICES."

........more woods and spices than citrus.
