[Image: 8TvSLsO.jpg]As my Proraso boar was breaking in, I noticed some prickly bristles that don't split and from the looks of it, won't split.
I pulled a few of those out and they seem thicker at the tip than towards the knot (hence the title) and they are quite a few of those.

It may have been a defect with my sample, my other 10098 brush is just perfect with silky smooth tips.

Any thoughts?

Boars probably aren't sorted as well as badgers....they're usually $12-20 instead of $60-30.

You'll get a few dark reddish ones sometimes too. If you think you can detect in during the shave, just remove it safely. Some say not to pluck as it can cause stress on the surrounding hairs in the glue, so they'll peel back the hair around that one safely and trim it as low as possible.
