Trying to identify the age and origin of this brush.  It's just a plain solid brass brush handle but has a flat base.  My late Dad used it when he was a pilot in the Korean War and afterward when I was a rugrat.   It could have been passed down from my grandfather or earlier I suppose.   I found it with the knot worn down flat to about an inch.

I googled antique/old brush handles and didn't come up with anything with a flat base or that look anything like it.

Anyone here ever see one like it and can fill me in on who made them and when?  Also looking for period stand ideas or links.
Thanks

Just bought it from a senior member.  I can only find one flaw anywhere:  one of the tiny dots between the numbers is a bit lighter than the other ones.  I can't find any damage to the lacquer or plating, no dents or dings.   Looks like it sat in the box for 50 years.

A pleasure to hold and use, not too long, not too head heavy, just right.   My everyday shaver until I can find a nickel one in likewise condition.  If and when that happens this one will be offered back to the original owner same price (which was very fair).  May wind up more like a temporary foster home than an ownership change.

Cheers!

I think I know where that toggle came from. If it came from where I think it did then that member only has very nice gear that's as mint as anybodys...
